There are many distractions out there that exist in classrooms and you have to be able to deal with them if you want to succeed as a teacher.
A distraction can be as little as one student disrupting the classroom with a humorous comment, while it could be a selection of students or perhaps even mobile phones going off in bags. Firstly, it’s important to take decisive action, and get to the cause of the issue quickly.
If it’s one student misbehaving, then you may have to isolate them from the class, while a mobile phone could be confiscated if it keeps disrupting the class. The quicker a distraction is dealt with, the better, and you can then get back to the classroom plan, and back to teaching without any issues or complications.
