Jobs for the New Year

About

If you have been looking for work prior to Christmas then you may have been lucky enough to land a temporary Christmas job especially in the retail industry. Often the people employed on this basis are kept on through January when the sales are on but then their contract terminated at the end of the month.

This is a hard time for people to look for work as with the expense of Christmas many people simply cannot afford to not be working for long. Some companies will have decided that they wish to expand in the New Year so may be looking to take new people on. If not, then you may need to find more temporary work until April when many companies have their new budget for staffing costs and marketing etc.

It’s all a numbers game with jobs, apply for as many as you possibly can and attend every interview, even if you are not sure if you want to go for the job after.
