Prospectuses for schools

About

Finding a school to send your child to can be hard. It may be that you have a local school and that was only ever the real option, but if you have a number of schools locally or do not mind travelling to take your child to school then you may look further afield.

When looking at which school you may send your child to, you should try and pick up a number of prospectuses. A prospectus is a booklet that will explain to you details of the school and their ethos along with any achievements they have received and what level of education you can expect from sending your child to that school. This is meant to give you an idea of what the school is all about and then if you like the sound of it you can then attend one of the open days or evenings to have a look round, often with your child.

You may have the choice as to whether to send your child to a public or private school. Many parents have varied views on both types of schooling so it really is an individual choice.
